Trained and qualified as a guide by “Intourist” state Company, Membership of Federal guides association, legalized excursion services, accredited Olympic 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cup guide.

Holder of a University Degree. After graduating the State Linguistic and pedagogic University, started working for the state tour Company. "Intourist" in Sochi, which was the leading Company in the Soviet Union to host foreign tourists. Best city lecturers on history, geography and other subjects. This experience enabled me to give quality tours to numerous VIP guests during significant global events taken in Sochi, such as winter Olympic 2017, FIFA World Cup -2018, Formula-1 race, International Youth Festival and others.

I have been living in my resort-city for 38 years and I know the city in details allowing me to guide my Guests and show them the most beautiful natural and historical places and sites, buildings of the Stalin’s era and those of the latest period in addition to the Olympic clusters in the mounts and on a seashore.

About the Guide:

Born in Maykop – a small provincial town 130 km from Krasnodar, today – the capital of the Adygh Republic. Graduated from Maykop State University and was qualified for a teacher of English and German languages.

Started working career in Sukhumi, Abkhasia as guide for the «Intourist» Travel Agency – the only company in the USSR authorized to render serves to foreign tourists.

Experienced a thrill when I was told I would work with German groups. I was so much focused on English being in love with the language of Shakespeare, but my German tourists helped me a lot with lexics and Grammar and in a short time I was feeling at ease with German, too.

Later, working for the «Intourist» Travel Agency in Sochi, I

also learned Finnish and worked with Finnish groups. Then I got married and had

to leave this fantastic city for Turkmenistan where my husband worked.

My husband is a retired military officer so we have travelled a

lot – we have moved nine times and I know what's it all about to pack a lot of

household articles in a night's time!

So packing one suitcase for traveling is a real pleasure for me. We have finally moved to his home city in 2000 and since then I was back to my profession again.

Speaking English is my life and the more I learn the more I understand I know just a few.

I have discovered a great pleasure, too, in teaching Russian to English speaking students.

My hobbies are knitting, chrochetting and sewing. I absolutely

admire all kinds of applied arts, I love theater, cinema and music.

About the Guide:

Studied from 1995-2000 at Adyghe State University, Maykop, Russia. Received a Bachelor and Master Degree in Teaching English and German, then from 2000-2003 Kuban State University, Krasnodar, Russia, followed a Postgraduate program and received Philology Doctorate degree (Ph.D), which is the branch of knowledge that deals with the structure, historical development, and relationships of a language or languages.

Being a Holder of a Ph.D , Zulima is Lecturer of different subjects in English (Practical English, Oral Speech, Theoretical grammar, Practical Phonetics, Reading and Analyzing, Lexicology) at Adyghe State University, Maykop, Russia (2000-2006), then at Sochi State University, Sochi , Russia (2006-2019).

Worked with travel agencies as a tour guide around Sochi and as an interpreter for guests from China, Iran, Australia, USA, Canada, Africa, South Korea, Thailand and others.

In 2018 and during the FIFA World Cup, was a tour guide and translator for the guests from Australia, South Africa, Portugal. (Еду в Сочи. I started my career in London, working for Russian Travel Company as an assistant and a guide, then had many other jobs include restaurant manager, sales person at a gemstone dealer, conference coordinator and supervisor. 

The work that really thrills me after I returned back to Russia is to guide groups arriving to Sochi on Cruise liners as a city guide. I have so much fan, joy, great emotional moments that I will never forget.

Last decade was very rich for events held in our city. So I had great practice working as an interpreter and a guide here during meetings, forums, congresses, Olympics, World Cup, Formula 1, etc.
