Vojta Therapy in Moscow

• positive change in motor coordination when grasping, straightening, walking and in speech activity;

And therefore, the treatment process should start as early as possible, in the first months after delivery.

Reflex movements caused by the therapy are very effective; however, they are unusual and very tiring for babies and small children. 
And therefore the stimulation of reflex zones is usually accompanied by crying or screaming. 
Naturally it makes parents embarrassed and afraid assuming that the child is in pain. 
Crying at this stage of life is an important and adequate means of expressing the emotions for a small patient. 
As a rule, after a short habituation period crying becomes less intense and babies quickly calm down during the pauses in the sessions and after the therapy. 
Older children who can talk rarely cry.

In order for Vojta therapy to be successful, it must be practiced several times a day, and therefore, parents are actively involved in the process – they do the exercises with their children up to 4 times a day at home under the guidance and supervision of a Vojta Therapist. 
Parents are trained by a Vojta specialist in a clinic.

The treatment is carried out by a neurologist, rehabilitation doctor and Vojta therapist, Ekaterina Knoll, who was trained and certified by the German Academy for the Study of Development and Health of Children and Adolescents in Munich, and The International Vojta Society in Siegen, Germany.
