My Visit to Chateau de Talu

My visit to Chateau de Talu, Guelendzick, Karasnodar, Russian Federation.

When I visit a Winery, I look at two important factors:

• The Know How
• The People

Whatever is done, if it is not done properly and by professional people, you will not have the good product.

What if we are dealing with Wine?

More and more, in a winery, the Know How and the People are of paramount importance, I would say the two basic pillars for a good wine.

During my visit to Chateau de Talu, I immediately felt that I was dealing with a legacy strongly built on Know How and Passionate people.

To start what is TALU?

Tatiana and Lubov, the daughters of the founder, are the source of inspiration.

TA of Tatiana and LU of Lubov made the Brand Name of the Chateau, that was founded in 2005.

The symbol shows as well on each bottle of wine.

Chateau de Talu is outfitted with French and Italian equipment and considered now one of the most modern wineries of Russia, producing wines in a fully automated, modern wine factory, supplying the market with tasty and elegant RED, WHITE and ROSE wine produced for special and selective taste of wine lovers.

Ms. Elena Bilinkina and Mr. Iurii Lusykh, two dynamic professional managers were my guides on Friday 21 May 2021.

A full day spent at Chateau de Talu to explore the magnificent space where the Chateau is located.

When I reached the premises, from the first moment, I discovered how precious the space is to the owners. How close to their heart the Chateau de Talu is.

This is the mystery behind the success story.

Located on 101.3 hectares of land at the proximity and the shoulder of the black sea which provides the grapes with the most appropriate sea breezes, and with an annual average temperature of 13.5 to 14.5 degrees Celsius, Grapes are gently growing in rendzina and slate soils with a high level of marl and limestone.

These factors are very important for a slow and even maturing cycle of the different grapes:

• Cabernet Sauvignon
• Cabernet Franc
• Merlot
• Syrah
• Krasnostop
• Sauvignon Blanc
• Chardonnay
• Semillon
• Muscat
