During the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 in St. Petersburg, a number of measures were taken to ensure the safe operation of organizations and individual entrepreneurs operating on the territory of St. Petersburg, including for the tourism industry of the city. In July 2020, St. Petersburg was the first Russian city to join the international marketing program for ensuring safe tourism - Safe Travels. Within the framework of the program, Safe Travels SPb, a sign of safe and comfortable rest for the hospitality sector, operates in St. Petersburg. The Committee for the Development of Tourism of St. Petersburg has developed specialized standards of safe activity for organizations in the field of tourism and approved by the Department of Rospotrebnadzor for St. Petersburg. The main provisions of the standard include requirements for sanitary conditions, provision of personal respiratory protection equipment, features of access to the territory of the facility, catering and other necessary measures. Our partner –Grandrus Tours LLC, a tour operator in St. Petersburg, was approved for implementing the standard of safe activity in the organization, ensures its implementation and received a unique QR code with the SafeTravelsSPb sign on the official website of the Center for Business Development and Support.

For tourists, such a sign is a guarantee that the services provided by tourist organizations meet the requirements of sanitary and hygienic standards and safety standards.
