Teletskoe lake - Chulyshman river - Chui highway - Chemal - Katun

• The meeting of the group in the Capital of the Altai Republic – Gorno-Altaisk city.
• Sightseeing tour of Gorno-Altaisk city with a visit to the Anokhin Museum which is the largest Museum of local lore outside the Urals. The Museum's collections include unique collections of the first local historians of Altai, archaeological materials from the excavations of the AK-alakh mounds from the Ukok plateau, and the largest collection of paintings and graphic works by the first Altaic artist G. I. Choros-Gurkin. (The mummy is exhibited on certain days from 10: 00 to 13: 00 – you need to specify the date).
• Lunch .
• Transfer to the Northern shore of the lake Teletskoye.
• Hotel Check-in.
• Dinner.

• Journey along the lake Teletskoye to the southern shore.
• Lake Teletskoye is one of the largest reservoirs in southern Siberia and one of the deepest lakes in Russia. By volume of pure fresh water, it is second only to lake Baikal. It is also called Altai lake. The lake is a UNESCO world natural heritage site.
• Altyn-Kel – so it is called by the native Altaians, "Golden lake".
• Transfer by boat on lake Teletskoye to the Northern shore in the village of Artybash. A visit to the territory of the reserve (waterfall of the Big Korbu).
• Lunch.
• In good weather, you will have opportunity to swim in the lake Teletskoye (water can warm up to +23C).

• Transfer by transport to the camping "Stone Mushrooms"

• Transfer to the "Kyzyl-Tash".
• Rafting on the Chelushman river (1-1.5 hours).
• Dinner.

• We cross to the right Bank of the river.
• Hiking to the waterfall Uchar Tulchinsky or Winout (the meaning is "flying" or "unapproachable") is a cascading waterfall on the Chulcha river in Altai. It is the largest in the region, having a drop height of about 160 meters. Climb to the waterfall on a mountain path 9 kilometers from the confluence of the river Chulcha in Chulyshman.
• The waterfall is one of the few objects of the Altai nature reserve open to tourists. A huge mass of water rolling down large rocks – a truly grandiose sight! 18 km walking.
• Moscow sightseeing tour (Vorobyovy Gory, Moscow State University, Victory Park, monument to Peter the Great, Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, Arbat).
• Lunch at the waterfall (lunch boxes).
• Return to the bungalows’ camp.
• Dinner.

• Breakfast.
• Excursion to the Stone mushrooms (we cross to the left Bank of the Chulyshman river and walk 2 km). You will see amazing landscapes of the valley, a huge canyon going South, a bend in the river, Islands and of course the miracle of nature-Stone mushrooms. It was amazing how such fragile creatures, as tall as a three-story house, towered over the valley!
• Return to the camp.
• Lunch.
• Transfer to the eco-tourist complex "Nomad" (village Chibit). On the way, we cross the famous Katu-Yaryk pass (if you wish, you can walk- 4 km) and examine the Scythian mounds of the Pazyryk tract. The finds from this mound complex are kept in the Hermitage.
• Accommodation in Nomad eco-tourism complex in Mongolian yurts.
• Dinner.

• Visit to the Geyser lake near the village of Aktash. In the center of the lake, thermal springs are pounding, bringing beautiful blue silt to the bottom of the lake, making the lake look very impressive. The depth of the lake is about two meters, the diameter is about 25-30 meters. Geyser lake is unique in its kind — rare in beauty, clean, non-freezing even in winter.
• Car trip along the Chui highway through the Chike-Taman pass with a visit to the Kalbak-Tash tract (petroglyphs - rock carvings of ancient times.
• The Chuiskiy highway is one of the top ten most beautiful roads in the world! You will get acquainted with the natural and ethnographic monuments of Altai. Visit the confluence of the Chuya and Katun rivers.
• Lunch in the Uch-Enmek tourists’ camp.
• Visit to the Karakol valley: Uch-Enmek mountain and its surrounding areas have always been considered special. Native Altaians believe that the earth\'s acupuncture point is located here, and the Karakol valley is a repository of information about key processes occurring on the planet. The Indians of North America say that Uch-Enmek is one of the 20 mountains that unite the Earth. Scientists call this place the cradle of world civilizations, and are still scratching their heads over the mysterious burial mounds, stelae and petroglyphs. Meeting with natural and ethnographic monuments of Altai, culture and customs of Altaians.
• Altai evening (throat singing "Kai", dinner with tasting of the national Altai cuisine).

• A big excursion day along the Lower Katun river.
• Visit the Tavda caves (80 km, several dozen caves, many of which have several entrances and connect with each other). At various times, they served as housing for a person. During the excavations, objects of pottery production and other archaeological finds were found in them. The most interesting places will be the Big Tavda cave, the Eagle grotto, And the arch of wishes.
• Excursion to Kamyshlinsky waterfall (50 km.) - a picturesque waterfall, on the left Bank of the Katun river, which consists of two cascades with a total height of 12 meters. To reach it, you need to cross the pedestrian suspension bridge over the Katun river and climb 3 km up the path upstream.
• Lunch.
• Excursion to the surroundings of Chemal village with a visit to the Chemal hydroelectric power station, a temple on the island of Patmos. The calling card of the entire Chemalsky district is the chemalskaya HPP - the first hydroelectric power station in the Altai territory, built in 1935. Not far from the hydroelectric power station is the confluence of the Chemal and Katun rivers.
• The best viewing point is the place named after the hero of the Altai epic-the Gate of Sartakpai. In addition, you will visit the Church of St. John the Evangelist on the island of Patmos, where you will see a self-renewing icon. Learn about the origins of Orthodoxy in the Altai.
